The guest rooms at the Grand Floridian
Resort all have one thing in common -
CHARM! The decor is a whimsical mix of
colorful and cheery Victorian prints
with playful Disney characters
creatively hidden in the patterns of the
wallpaper & fabrics. The furnishings
are heavy wood and have a homey
antique style to them. The rooms are
elegant and upscale, yet you know you
are in a Disney hotel with the little
touches so meticulously added.
Although the rooms have a very old
world, comfy bed and breakfast feel to
them, there is nothing antiquated about
the amenities offered. The rooms have
recently undergone a transformation
and come equipped for modern day
comfort.
The 867 gracious guest rooms at the
Grand Floridian are among the largest
Walt Disney World has to offer. They
are approximately 440 square feet,
most sleep 5 guests with two plushy
queen beds and a twin size daybed. The
generously sized marble tiled
bathrooms are conveniently laid out
with the shower & toilet area
separated by a door from the large
double sink vanity area. A simple
convenience to my family has always
been that the bathrooms in the guest
rooms come with a white wicker hamper.
All the standard rooms at the Grand
Floridian come with private balconies
or patios. The turret suites and the top
floor lodge tower rooms do not have
either.
No matter which room category you
reserve for your stay, you will feel the
cozy charm the resort exudes. There is
nothing of the "hotel" feel to these
beautiful Grand Floridian rooms. You
will be transported to another era
while enjoying a touch of modern
luxury right next to the Magic Kingdom.
The Grand Floridian has always been
the place WHERE THE MAGIC LIVES
for our family's Walt Disney World
vacations.
The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is the Victorian palace just a monorail ride away
from the Magic Kingdom. This fairy tale resort is inspired by the lovely seaside resorts of the
nineteenth century. It captures the quaint ambiance of that time period perfectly as it sprawls on
over 40 acres along the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon. It is a charming and peaceful retreat
from the hustle and bustle of the parks. The cast members are gracious and the rooms
and amenities are world class in this turreted gingerbread resort.
As a guest there, dining in one of the restaurants, or just visiting, you will discover
The Disney magic is alive at the Grand Floridian.
